Polarized
Our polarized industrial cameras set new standards in industrial image processing by offering the unique ability to filter reflected light, thereby revealing hidden details.
Polarized cameras are equipped with special image sensors that can measure polarization properties of light that are not visible to the human eye. The degree of polarization and the polarization planes can be determined from a single image. The high resolution, optical dynamics, and frame rate allow detailed structural analyses even of moving objects.
Despite its special sensors, the EXO Polarized behaves like a conventional industrial camera for use with standard lenses. The integrated 4-channel strobe controller supports complex lighting situations.

Areas Of Application
The polarization filter reduces disruptive reflections from non-metallic surfaces, enabling machine inspection with greater reliability (reflection reduction). Measuring the polarization properties of non-metallic surfaces provides information about the structure and homogeneity of surfaces (e.g., inspection of carbon fabric, scratch detection, tire inspection). Mechanical stress analyses of (partially) transparent materials are thus very easy to perform.
