- Ensuring the accuracy of accounting records for the preparation of the balance sheet and income statement in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), the German Accounting Act (BilMoG), local GAAP, and IFRS
- Ensuring the timely completion of all financial statements, reports, and statistics, as well as all tax filings
- Overseeing and managing financial accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, general ledger) by cost center
- Managing fixed assets (subsidiary ledger)
- Independently preparing and executing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the individual company in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Active receivables management and dunning procedures
- Preparing external reports and statistics based on the applicable legal requirements
- Local point of contact for auditors, government agencies, tax advisors, and for inquiries from the corporate group
- Handling all accounting matters related to business travel, monitoring and updating travel policies
- Undertaking special tasks in the “Finance and Accounting” department
Your profile
- Completed commercial training, e.g., as an accountant (m/f/d), tax clerk (m/f/d), or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and tax law
- IT skills in ERP and MS Office
- Proficiency in German and English is required
- Strong communication skills within a global, cross-functional team
