Allied Vision Technologies gives employees of its various locations the opportunity to take part in team sport events and sponsors the registration fee and equipment. This spring, AVT teams in Burnaby, BC (Canada), Stadtroda and Ahrensburg (Germany) participated in four local runs under the Allied Vision Technologies banner.

The season started with the Vancouver Sun Run on April 21. A Team of 13 AVT Canada staff ran the 10km long trace.

Employees from the German headquarters in Stadtroda (Thuringia/Germany) were active in two runs.

The first run took place at Jena Oberaue on Friday, 26th of April 2013. About 1000 participants were there and ran 2.3km each for a good cause. Six AVT colleagues took part and built teams of three. All three members of both teams ran after each other as a relay. The run was completed successfully.

On Wednesday, 15th of May 2013, the third Jenaer Company Run was organized through the city center of Jena. Next to our nine starters there were 1650 participants altogether running 5km. Our employees reached the finish line 25 to 35 minutes after the starting pistol was fired. AVT runners’ performance was within the average of all participants..

Finally, 11 members of the AVT Ahrensburg staff took part in the HSH Nordbank-Run on June 8 in Hamburgs’ Hafencity, a new downtown district built on former harbor docklands.
