Allied Vision supports customers impacted by ON Semiconductor’s CCD sensor discontinuation

ON Semiconductor announced short-term discontinuation of CCD sensor production. Allied Vision offers support to customers using affected cameras.

ON Semiconductor ("OnSemi"/ formerly TrueSense / Kodak) has announced last order acceptance for its CCD sensors on March 18, 2020, and will subsequently cease production and close its plant in Rochester/USA (here the original announcement). A list of affected Allied Vision cameras can be found here. Allied Vision is always available to help affected customers find the best possible solution for the long-term viability of their applications and systems.

According to the current state of the technology, direct "drop-in replacement" for our previously available cameras with OnSemi CCD sensors is not always possible. Based on the specific application requirements, we will discuss individual solutions with each of our customers. For example, this could be an alternative product with state-of-the-art CMOS technology or any other solution, keeping the effort for you as limited as possible. In this case, the agreement of a "last-time-buy" framework contract for the cameras used in your systems with discontinued sensors is also possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Our team and your personal contact person will try to find a suitable approach together with you as soon as possible in order to secure your projects in the best possible way. We will prepare all necessary information and contact you as soon as possible.
