Official inauguration ceremony for the start of Alvium series production

On Friday June 21st, Allied Vision in Stadtroda officially started series production of the groundbreaking Alvium camera series with an exclusive inauguration ceremony. Bodo Ramelow, Prime Minister of Thuringia, did not miss it and personally inaugurated the new production facility. Besides Bodo Ramelow, Dr. Günter Ahnert represented the city of Stadtroda as guest speaker. Headquartered in Stadtroda, Thuringia, Allied Vision is one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial cameras for image processing and an important employer and driving force for the regional economy.

Great media response

With the Alvium camera series, Allied Vision has developed a revolutionary camera platform for image processing of the future. A lot of time, energy, and money was invested to install an automated high-tech production system to produce the new camera series. The media attention was high according to the occasion and the prominent guests. A team from the MDR studio in Jena followed the invitation of Allied Vision as well as many other representatives of the local press and the trade press from the image processing industry.

After a welcome by Bodo Ramelow and Andreas Gerk, Chief Executive Officer of Allied Vision Technologies GmbH, as well as a short schematic presentation of the automated production processes, the participants were led into the new production rooms. Erik Busse, Director, Global Manufacturing Engineering, and Tino Vetter, Manager Order Fulfillment Process, passionately provided technical explanations of the production processes. The presentation was supported by photos taken from inside the closed cleanroom facility.
The event ended with a short reception, introduced by the greeting of the city of Stadtroda, represented by Dr. Günter Ahnert.

"We are proud of what we have achieved at our location in Stadtroda. It is therefore a particular pleasure and honor for us to have been able to welcome Mr. Ramelow to our premises on this important day for us," says Andreas Gerk, pleased with the successful day and is certain: "With the revolutionary Alvium camera series and a state-of-the-art production facility at a location rich in tradition for high-tech optical products, we have the best prerequisites for continuing to work on the realization of our vision for Allied Vision."
